Attic fan options
Attic fans are more important than you may think. They will help you cool down your home. This is even more important for people who live in areas where they have you use air conditioning several times a year. If your home doesn’t have venting, a warm air will be trapped inside a house, and raise the overall temperature. As the end result, you will have a higher temperature inside a house than it is outside. There are several different types of attic fans.
Solar fans are perfect for people who like the environment and they want to increase the energy efficiency of their home. They will draw the warm air that is inside your home (from rooms and the attic) and pull cool air from outside. They are very effective as well. In a couple of hours, these fans can lower the temperature in your house from 5-10 degrees. A good side is that they work on solar power. A negative side is that they will work only when the sun is shining.
Exhaust fans are the most popular. They work in the same way as the solar-powered fans. But they can increase your energy bill. On the other side, they are much faster and they can work in all types of weather. They are much cheaper alternative than using air conditioning all the time.
Static air vents are not the real fans, but they are useful for air exchange. They do not include fan assemblage. The main drawback is, without a fan, you cannot notice the movement of the air.
At the end, any type of attic fan is useful. The much better alternative is to have it than not to have it.
