Choose the right color for your rooms
One of the biggest and the most important changes you can do to your home is changing a color. Because walls have the biggest surfaces, they are the first thing someone notice. Painting them is easy, every person can do it. The much tougher is choosing the right color. Many people cannot imagine how that room will look in a different color, so mistakes are common. The secret is to be careful and to start with small steps. Choose the color you like most. Look at your rugs, artwork and accessory to find the color you really like. For the bedroom, you should choose some cool and soft color. They will provide restful and intimate feeling. For your dining area, you should choose brighter colors if you want to have a sociable atmosphere. A more formal ambiance can be achieved with deeper blue or green colors. Avoid really bright colors for your child’s room. They can overstimulate your kid.
You should pay attention to the lightening. Different lightening will affect on colors. For example, natural daylight will show the true color, fluorescent lighting will add a sharp blue tone and incandescent lightening will bring out yellows and warm tones. You should learn the color terms. Hue is the color name (red is a hue), the value is, how dark or light that color is, saturation means how dominant the hue is and the brilliance of a color is called the intensity. When you understood all this, you can start choosing the right color. If you don’t care what someone will tell about your choice, you can use any color you like.
