Prepare your pool for summer
Having a swimming pool in your yard is simply said great. It is refreshing and fun, especially during warm summer months. But, there are a lot of maintenance and care. The secret is to pay attention on your pool often, every day. Nobody wants to swim in a dirty pool.
The first step is to clean your pool with a skimming net. You will have to do this every day, in order to remove bugs, leaves and other debris. This is a much better alternative than to remove debris that is at the bottom of a pool. Use a skimming net to remove items that are already at the bottom. Also, make you sure you have removed all items from your swimming pool.
When you are done, use a pool vacuum. Use it to clean the floor and walls of your pool. Remember that it cannot collect a large items, so you must use a skimming net before. Also, you will have to run a pool vacuum an hour a day. Use a pool brush to brush the walls and the floor. This will loosen the algae so pool vacuum can clean them easily. Clean your strainer baskets at least once a week. They are located near pool vacuum hose.
When you are done with cleaning, you may believe that you are done, but there are more things to do. A chemical balance is important to your pool. Test the water with pH strips and make sure that alkaline and acidity are in the correct range. You must do this every week. Equally important is to check for chlorine levels. If there is no chlorine a bacteria may appear in the swimming pool.
